The Charleston Fashion Week 2012, organized by the Gulfstream Communication and Charleston Magazine will be held at Marion Square, Charleston, South Carolina from 20-24th March 2012. This sixth annual Charleston Fashion Week 2012 is considered to be a premier fashion week in North America. For the first time Charleston Fashion Week was celebrated in the year 2007. It should be noted that for the year 2012, this event is considered to be a five night celebrations and will feature Emerging Designer Competition: East, the Spring Bridal Show, the Rock the Runway Model Competition and 30 runway shows. Another interesting fact is that the Southeast Tourism Society has named Charleston fashion week 2012 as one of the top 20 events for March that will be held in North America. The organizers of the Charleston Fashion Week 2012 is now recruiting volunteers who can assist as selling tickets, greeters, assisting retailers with set up and break down, organizing and placing gift bags, resetting the runway tents between events, selling beverage tickets, checking credentials and direct guest seating. The 2012 Emerging Designer Competition: East Semifinalists(EDC:E) who will debut their fall collections as part of the 2012 March 20-24th event includes Angela Sum, Emily C Pollard, Adrienne Antonson, Hazel Bae, Hannah Goff, Jordan Lee Brooks, Jessica Patricia Krupa, Gis Tidale and Dominique Verona, Ashley Newsome, Keely Lauren Cansler, Mikasa La'Charles, Vartika Vikram, Bob and Kris Galmarini, Shelley Lucille Smith, Tsvetelina Gerasimova McAuliffe, Ra Jang, Nina Awasum, Nancy Faw Crowell, Samantha Michele Hyman. Kelly Elizabeth Ruehlman and Amy Cochran Quinn. The designers have to present swimwear / resort 2013 or falls 2012 and 12 looks in total while the semifinalists should present 8 looks for the night of their runway presentations while finalists should show original 8 looks plus an additional 4 looks respectively. It should be noted that 2012 Emerging Designer Competition: East Grand Prize winner will be given prizes like free runway show at Charleston Fashion Week 2013, $5000 cash prize, $10,000 online marketing and promotional package from F22 designs and professional hi-quality look book images of the winner's fall collection will be photographed by J. Balliet: Photographer. Apart from this, during the Charleston fashion week 2012, each evening from 20 March 2012-24 March 2012 the event attendees will be given a chance to select their favorite emerging designer semifinalist that will be shown on the runway. Each evening the people's choice winner will be announced and will be given $250 cash prize.
