Miss Universe Canada 2012 news – Meet Miss Universe Canada 2012 contestants

2012 Miss Universe Canada Pageant, which is the 61st annual Miss Universe Canada Pageant, will be held at the St Lawrence Centre for Arts(Bluma Appel Theatre) in Toronto on 19 May 2012. Along with countries like France, Germany and USA, Canada has competed in each Miss Universe Pageants since the inception in 1952. Miss Universe Canada will represent Canada in the annual Miss Universe pageant. The latest news regarding Miss Universe Canada 2012 is that Transgender Miss Universe Canada finalist Jenna Talackova was disqualified from the competition for not being a naturally born female. About 65 delegates from across Canada will compete for Miss Universe Canada 2012 title.

Miss Universe Canada 2012 finalists

• Pageant presentation show (preliminary competition)- 17 May 2012 at 8:00 PM
  I have already mentioned that there will be 65 delegates for this competition. It's interesting to note that all this 65 delegates will compete before a live audience and a judging panel in swimwear and evening gown so as to get selected as one of the judges 15 semifinalists. Also 5 segment winners will join the group of semifinalists so as to win the title

• Final competition- 19 May 2012 at 8:00 PM
  Here 20 semifinalists selected from the pageant presentation show will compete in front of the judging panel and live audience in swim wear and evening gown to win the title of Miss Universe Canada 2012. In addition there will be a live interview / question and answer segment. Miss Universe Canada 2012 winner will be selected on 19 May 2012. The winner will be crowned by Chelsae Durocher, who was Miss Universe Canada 2011
